Picture-frame staircase
[Project notes coming. About 400–600 words from Henry: the brief, what the room asked for, materials chosen, anything tricky, and how it landed.]
Until those land, here's the rough shape: picture-frame panelling running up the stairwell of a Victorian terrace, with a hand-painted finish in a soft putty tone, plus a refurbished newel post and handrail. Existing strings, treads, and risers were stripped, repaired, and re-finished in place. Made and fitted over four weeks.
