Two-tone Shaker kitchen install
Two-tone Shaker · navy island · LeylandA kitchen fit in a new extension in Leyland. The owners wanted to make the most of the new room without giving up any functionality, so rather than dropping in standard units and filling the gaps with blank panels, several of the cabinets were modified on site to use the full width and depth of the space.
It's a two-tone Shaker scheme — a deep navy island and base run set against soft greige perimeter units, white quartz worktops, aged-brass cup handles, and smoked-glass pendants over the island. A wine cooler is built into the end of the island, the double oven sits in the tall run, and there's an induction hob on the island top.
Time mattered on this one: the floor layer was already booked, so the kitchen had to be measured, modified, and fitted to the day. The whole install was done in under a week, in April 2026.
Note on scope: the cabinets, doors, and worktops were supplied. The install, and the cabinet modifications needed to fit the extension, are mine. If you want a kitchen designed and built from scratch rather than supplied and installed, that's a separate conversation.
